The National Peace Council has honoured the Chairperson of NCCE Gh, Ms. Kathleen Addy, for the Commission's role in promoting peace through civic education activities before, during, and after the 2024 general election.
Ms. Addy received a prestigious Peace Award at the 13th Peace and Dialogue Iftar Dinner held in Accra by TUDEC Development Centre and the National Peace Council.
The Peace and Dialogue Iftar Dinner serves as a platform to foster interfaith and intercultural understanding. This year’s dialogue was themed “Strengthening Peace: Passing the Culture of Dialogue and Peace to Future Generations.”
Ms. Kathleen Addy was elated about the honour done her and thanked the organisers for their commitment to promoting peace and national cohesion.
Ms. Addy dedicated the award to the staff of NCCE and urged them to continue to work hard to fulfil the Constitutional mandate of the Commission.
