The National Commission for Civic Education is on a vigorous mission of imbibing the younger generation with the tenets of our democracy, starting from the rollout of activities to enlighten them on the various provisions of the 1992 Fourth (4th) Republic Constitution of Ghana.
In light of this, a Constitution Quiz is being held in all districts across the country. The Assin North District’s edition has thus taken place, with Assin Endwa M/A JHS coming up tops among the six (6) selected schools within the district.
Chairman of the occasion, Rev. Collins Koranteng, in his opening remarks, emphasized the need for the students to take the activity seriously, commending NCCE for implementing such a brilliant school-based programme.
Meanwhile, Director of the Office of NCCE in the District, Eric Mawunyo Ashinyoh, advised the students to uphold the cultural and civic values of respect for the elderly, peaceful coexistence, love for their neighbour, among others, which they are exposed to by their parents, school authorities, and staff of the Commission.
Contestants of participating schools were presented with certificates of participation, copies of the Constitution, and some stationery to aid in their studies.
