The Technical Advisor to the Ghana Revenue Authority GRA, Mr. Henry Yentumi, has called on school children to encourage their parents to pay their in order to develop Ghana. He made the call when served as a resource person during the NCCE 2018 Annual Citizenship Week engagement with pupils of Richard Akwei Basic School in Accra.
Mr. Yentumi spoke to the children on taxes can transform a country, improve informal development and developmental project such as building schools, hospitals among others.
This year’s Citizenship Week is a collaborative effort between the NCCE and GRA to set the agenda for school children to join in raising the needed awareness on Tax compliance. It is also to imbibe in the citizen the culture of paying tax so that when they grow up they will become responsible citizens.
Richard Akwei Basic School praised NCCE and GRA for the outreach. Teachers in the school promised to continue the sensitization among the pupils.
