Mr. Eric Adu holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Bergen, Norway. He also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Accra. He again holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law (LLB) from the College of Science, Arts and Education in Sunyani which is affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. He has a 3-year Post-Secondary Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ from Berekum Training College, Berekum.

Before joining the NCCE in 2011, Mr. Eric Adu worked as a part-time lecturer in Principles of Management at the Ideas University College, Fiapre and a full-time government tutor at Mansin Senior High School in Wamfie. In 2007 he served as a Research Assistant on the evaluation of the governance aspect of Ghana’s Poverty Reduction Strategy (I). He was first posted to the NCCE Brong Ahafo Regional Office in Sunyani as a Programmes staff. He was later transferred to the newly created Sene East District Office, Kajaji and Sunyani Municipal Office, Sunyani as District and Municipal Director respectively. In 2018, he was appointed the Deputy Regional Director for Brong Ahafo Region. He is currently the Regional Director for the Ahafo Region of the Commission in Goaso.

Ms Margaret Konama holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast.

Ms Margaret Konama was a tutor at Akrokerri Training College (now Akokerri College of Education) before joining the Commission in July, 1994 as Civic Education Officer II. She rose through the ranks to her current position as Deputy Director and Officer in charge of the Ashanti Region.

Mr. Zangina joined the Commission in February 2002 as a Senior Field Officer and rose through the ranks to become Deputy Director and currently the Regional Director for North East.

Mr. Victor Elikplim Nuworkor holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi with specialization in Financial Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the same University. He also holds certificates in the following: Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, Level 2, Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB), Ghana, Level 3; American Academy of Financial Management, USA, Level 3, and Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana, Level 2.

Prior to joining the NCCE in 1994, Mr. Nuworkpor was an Economics tutor at Ghana National Academy and Garden City Commercial College, both in Kumasi.

Mr. Nuworkpor is a pioneer staff and has worked in the following districts in the Ashanti Region, Ahafo-Ano North (Tepa), Asante-Akim south (Juaso), Ejisu-Juaben District (Ejisu), Sekyere-East District (Effiduasi). He was appointed Deputy Regional Director, Upper East Region, Bolgatanga in 2019, and is currently the Upper West Regional Director.

Mr. Nuworkpor’s leadership style focuses on honing key strengths of teams while developing weak points to build dynamic teams. He is passionate about nurturing individuals develop their skills and capabilities.

He was later transferred to theBongo and Garu-Tempane District Offices respectively, where he rose through theranks to become the Deputy Regional Director and was transferred to the BrongAhafo Region. He is currently the Acting Regional Director in charge of theSavannah Region.

Mr. Kponor joined the NCCE in 1994 as a Field Officer. He is one of the pioneer staff of the NCCE at the Keta Municipal Office of the Commission. He was later transferred to the Ketu South and Ho Municipal Offices as a Municipal Director. He again rose through the ranks to become the Deputy Western Regional Director and is currently the Volta Regional Director of the NCCE.

Justice Yaw Ennin holds a Master of Arts Degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration(GIMPA), and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon.
He worked with the defunct Committee for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) before joining the NCCE. Justice Yaw Ennin joined the NCCE in October 1995 as a Public Education Officer and was posted to Nzema East, Axim. Due to hard work, he was transferred to the Ahanta West District as the Director.
Again, from the Ahanta West District, he moved to Aowin Suaman, Wassa Amenfi West and East, and Prestea Huni Valley where he served as District Director.
In 2016, he was appointed Deputy Regional Director for the Western Region and in October 2019 confirmed as Regional Director after the retirement of the incumbent.

He is married with four children.

Cynthia joined the Commission in 1996 as an Assistant Field Officer and has risen through the ranks to her current position by virtue of hard work, commitment, dedication, and perseverance. She has a passion for creating civic knowledge among basic school pupils. She has served in the following Offices of the Commission: Ashanti Regional Office, Sunyani Regional Office, Tano South District, Awutu Senya West District, and Ga Central District.

Mr. Robert Boame is the acting Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Oti Region.

He holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

Mr. Boame was employed in the Commission on the 1st of February, 1998, and has risen through the ranks to become a Deputy Regional Director. He has worked in the Northern Region, the former Brong Ahafo Region, Ashanti Region, and currently in the Oti Region.

Mr. Boame is a traditional ruler in his hometown, Akanien in the Krachi Nchumuru District of the Oti Region. He is married with six (6) children.

Ms. Ophelia Nana Yaa Ankrah is the Director of the Eastern Regional Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE).

She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Adult Education as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Religion both from the University of Ghana, Legon. She also holds a certificate in Public Administration and Communication from the Ghana Institute of Management and Professional Studies (GIMPA) and Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) respectively.

She joined the NCCE in 1997 as a Field Officer and has risen through the ranks with hard work and dedication to her current position. For many years, she was stationed at the Programmes Office at the Head Office, from where she coordinated many educational and training programmes across the country. Some of the programmes include the NCCE’s novel Constitution Game Board Quiz, e-quiz, youth activism (Substance Abuse-Own Your Future), and many more.

She is passionate, tenacious, hardworking, and relentless. She takes great delight in ensuring that deadlines are met and events are successfully executed.

Alhaji Mohammed Aliyu

Alhaji Aliyu Mohammed is currently the Regional Director for Northern Region. He was until then the Regional Director for Upper West Region. In 2015 he held the fort and acted as the Acting Regional Director for Central Region and, later deputised the substantive Regional Director before his appointment to the Upper West Region. Before then he was the Deputy Director of Human Resources at Head Office after his transfer from the Volta Region. He is proudly part of the successful Nationwide Mass Promotion for the long-overdue staff promotion outstanding carried out from 2010 to 2012.

He joined the Commission in 1994 and has the following academic qualifications. He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Administration (GIMPA), a Master of Arts Degree from Wisconsin International University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Prior to joining the Commission, he was the zonal coordinator of Non Formal Education Division (NFED) of the Ministry of Education under the Kadjebi District from 1990 to 1993. He is fluent in English, Hausa, Tem-Kotokoli, Chamber, Twi and Ewe.

Frederick Mawuli Agbenu

Mr. Frederick Mawuli Agbenu holds a Master of Philosophy Degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana. He holds a Diploma in Information Studies (Archives Administration), also from the University of Ghana, and a 3-year Post-Secondary Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ from the Accra Training College.

Before joining the NCCE, Mawuli worked as a tutor and part-time Political Science Lecturer in a number of institutions including the College of Distance Education (CoDE), of the University of Ghana. He joined the Commission in 2013 as a Civic Education Officer (CEO) and was posted to the Volta Regional Office. He was later reposted to the Ho Municipal Office. Mawuli was again transferred to the Upper East Regional Office and later reposted to the Bolgatanga Municipal Office. He was appointed Deputy Director of Research, Gender and Equality in 2018 and transferred to the Head Office of the Commission. He is currently the Upper East Regional Director.
