Today, the 28th of April, 2022 marks exactly 30 years since the good people of Ghana voted in a referendum to accept and approve the 1992 Constitution as the fundamental law of the land.
92.6% of Ghanaians voted YES to accept the 1992 Constitution.
The National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE, the institution mandated to "create and sustain within the society the awareness of the principles and objectives of the 1992 Constitution as the fundamental law of the people of Ghana" organised a press briefing this morning to engage the media on the significance of the day and outlined nationwide Civic Education activities for this year's Constitution Week Celebrations.
The theme for the Commission’s Annual Constitution Week Celebration is, ' Three Decades of Uninterrupted Constitutional Rule, Revisiting an Agenda for Constitutional Reforms'.
