NCCE Engages Hairdressers at Walewale

The West Mamprusi Municipal office of the NCCE met a group of hairdressers at the old Assemblies of God church building in Walewale. The resource person for the engagement was Mr. Mohammed Alhassan, a Principal Field Officer (PFO).

He educated participants on the need for them to take part in the upcoming limited registration exercise to be conducted. He further on in his speech, urged those who have turned eighteen years and have all the legal requirements to go to the Municipal office of the Electoral Commission (EC) to register.

Mr. Alhassan also entreated those who for one reason or the other could not register previously during the District Level Elections (DLEs) to do so as soon as possible. This would enable them to take part in the District Level Elections that will be held this year and subsequent elections.

He tasked them to have interest in the District level Elections (DLEs) and elect those who have the interest at heart. Mr. Mohammed also took the opportunity to talk about Child Protection Issues. He told both the trainers and the trainees not to give in to marriage till they were over eighteen years old. They should also desist from giving work to children above their ability to do. He said after their training, they should not indulge in kayaye (head porters) business but rather set up their own salons.
