Parliamentary Candidates dialogue: Odododiodioo Candidates unveil their development interventions constituents

The Ashiedu Keteke Sub-Metro Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has organized a town hall meeting to serve as a platform for candidates running for the Odododiodioo Constituency’s seat in the House of Legislature to present their individual development policies to members of the Constituency.

This Dialogue Meeting adds up to the Commission’s prior activities in the run-up to the December 7, 2024 General Elections.

Officer-In-Charge of the Sub-Metro Office of NCCE, stating the import of the gathering, emphasized that parliamentary candidates of the Constituency should leverage this opportunity to zero in on marketing themselves and their ideologies to the electorates in hopes of getting their endorsement, rather than taking an offensive position.

Gracing the event was the Chairman of the Commission, Ms. Kathleen Addy, who remarked that the Commission has taken up this venture to enable electorates make informed decisions on their preferred candidate to represent them on the floor of Parliament. She also urged them not to offer their conscience on a silver platter to the member of parliament hopefuls in exchange for some monetary items, warning, posterity will judge our actions accordingly.

Taking turns to address the audience, the parliamentary candidates in a time-bound duration espoused on their distinct interventions towards the development of the Constituency on areas of infrastructure, education, health, jobs, to mention a few.

They also pledged their commitment towards safeguarding the peace and harmony that prevails in the country while admonishing the constituents not translate vigilance at the polling station to taking matters into their own hands to incite mayhem.

NCCE, as the catalyst, is replicating the Parliamentary Candidates Dialogue in all two hundred and seventy-six (276) constituencies across the country.
