Ms. Mary Dagbah, the NCCE Ga Central Municipal Director urges students to take local languages more seriously

Ms Mary Dagbah, the Ga Central Municipal Director for NCCE has urged students of Holy Child School to take their mother language seriously since it will promote our culture.

Miss Rosemary Aku-Shika Tamakloe was the guest of the honour who read a book entitled “ADOTE SHELENKOME” (CHAPTER ONE - AWO DIN MIIFO ADOTE). She also encouraged the children to read in their mother language so their dependents could also learn from them. Some students represented to read some story books in the Ga Language such as JUU EHILL, TSEI HE S33NA M), ESA AK3 W) KE OHIAFIO ANI, N)M) EHIII. To mark this day, the readers and learners of Holy Child were dressed in traditional outfits.

Dignitaries present were Rev. Felix Kwaku Hini (Planning and Statistics Director ), the representative of Director GES, Ato Taylor (Culture and Tourism), and Miss Barbara Dankwah Sarfowaa (the headmistress of Holy Child School). A presentation of Ga books was made to the school on behalf of NCCE, UNESCO, and Accra World Book Capital by the Municipal Director.
