Asuom NCCE stuff educates students on the 1992 Constitution

Mr. Edward Opare and Miss Hillary Ohene (ACEOs) from the NCCE visited three schools in Asuom: Salvation Army JHS, Methodist JHS, and Roman Catholic JHS. Miss Ohene spoke on Citizenship from Chapter 3 of the Constitution. She introduced the topic with a question ‘‘How do you become a citizen of Ghana?’’. The students stated the various ways to become a citizen: birth, adoption, and registration.

She explained the Constitution gives specific requirements and procedures involved in becoming a citizen; understanding and speaking the indigenous language, being a resident for a period, and a commitment to uphold the values and laws of the nation.

she further educated the students on various chapters of the Constitution.
