NCCE CIVIC EDUCATION IN KWAEBIBIREM MUNICIPAL

Mr. Joshua Addo Asiedu (CEO) and Mr. Godfred Annobel (CFO) of the Kwaebibirem NCCE Office visited Okyinso Presby M.A and Akyem Krobo M.A Basic Schools for Civic Education.

Okyinso Presby M.A Basic School was first visited where the team was warmly received by the head teacher – Mrs. Patricia Ampofo. The team continued to Akyem Krobo M.A Basic School where they were also received by the head teacher, Mr. Bright Owusu.

Mr. Joshua Addo Asiedu (CEO) educated the students on Chapter One of the Constitution. He began his presentation by explaining how the document is structured for easy reading and reference. He took the students through the 26 chapters elaborating on how each chapter has a unique subject. Students were allowed to read and indicate the articles and paragraphs as they read.

The students were further made to appreciate the importance and relevance of the Constitution to every aspect of life in the nation emphasising the three articles under chapter one – the Supremacy of the Constitution, the Enforcement of the Constitution, and the Defence of the Constitution.

The sessions were exciting as practical scenarios were predominantly used to enhance the understanding of the learners on the subject discussed.
