HELP DEVELOP THE NEWLY CREATED OTI REGION-NCCE CHAIRMAN ENTREATS CEC MEMBERS

The Chairman of National Commission for Civic Education-NCCE Ms. Josephine Nkrumah has advised Civic Education Club members in the Oti Senior High Technical School in the Oti Regional Capital, Dambai to take part in developmental activities to make Oti a leaving place of their choice. Ms. Josephine made the call when she visited members of the Club as part of her working visit to the Oti Region. She witnessed a handing over ceremony after paying a courtesy on the Headmaster of Oti Senior High Technical School, Mr. Smith Kpebu.

Ms. Nkrumah told the CEC members to uphold the values of good citizenship which she said include hard work, honesty, discipline, integrity, responsibility, respect, and patriotism. She also engaged the CEC members on examination malpractices, drug abuse, sex education, and other social issues relevant to the young citizens. She entreated the students to rise to the challenge ahead and be part of the development of their community/school.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Smith Kpebu tasked members of the CEC to take their civic education activities seriously. He said being a member of NCCE’s CEC prepares you for future leadership positions mentioning. He cited Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwah and Hon. Haruna Iddrisu as members of CEC during their days in Senior High School.

The assistant Headmaster, Mr. Anku thanked Ms. Josephine Nkrumah for making time off her busy schedules to interact with members.

Outgoing executives of the club were presented with certificates whiles Ms. Josephine Nkrumah swore into office new executives for the 2019/2020 academic year.
