The much-anticipated Wassa Amenfi East Parliamentary Candidates' dialogue has taken place in the Constituency. The event was held at the auditorium of the Church of Pentecost at Wassa Akropong Central, in the Western Region.
The NCCE every election year, creates dialogue platforms for Parliamentary candidates to engage their constituents and dialogue with them on matters of concern as Ghana votes on December 7, 2024.
The NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Hon. Ernest Frimpong who participated in the NCCE Parliamentary Dialogue, responded to questions put forward by the general public. The questions centred around issues on education, health, employment, roads and infrastructure, and the economy among others.
Questions were mainly taken from the NCCE's Research data, ‘Matters of Concern to the Ghanaian Voter.’ The Parliamentary dialogue was chaired by the Chief of Asikuma, Nana Baffour Anim II.
In attendance were Nana Asare Badiako II, Asundua Chief (Representative of Tetrete Okuamoah Sakyim II- Wassa Amenfi Paramount Chief), Hon. Frederick Korankye (MCE- Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly), Superintendent Simon Setorglo (District Police Commander), and Rev. Fiifi Adams (Local Council of Churches President).
Pastor Fred Addo and Pastor Michael Beekye of Riis Presby Church and Assemblies of God Church, respectively, moderated the Parliamentary dialogue.
There were representatives also from the Tailors and Seamstress Association, Carpenters, Small Scale Miners’ Association, the Citizens Associations, CODEO observers, and the media. They all put questions to the NPP Parliamentary Candidate.
About 215 people were present at the programme. The event was broadcast live on Rivers FM and Animonyam TV and was streamed live on Facebook, AK City.
