​The Head Office of the NCCE interacted with the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) as part of the 2023 Annual Constitution Week Celebration, on the theme, “Thirty Years of Consolidating Constitutional Democracy: Building National Cohesion through Civic Education and Participation in Local Governance”

The Head Office of the NCCE interacted with the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) as part of the 2023 Annual Constitution Week Celebration, on the theme, “Thirty Years of Consolidating Constitutional Democracy: Building National Cohesion through Civic Education and Participation in Local Governance”. Mr. Samuel A. Akuamoah, Deputy Chairman, Operations (NCCE) was the main speaker and the programme was chaired by the Commanding Officer, James Oheneba Yaw Kwarteng (GNFS).

Highlights of the discussion are:

• Appreciation of 3 decades of Uninterrupted Constitutional Democracy

• Respect for the Dignity of Security Services and Civilians

• Active Citizens’ Participation in the 2023 District Assembly and Unit Committee Elections

• Promotion of Peace and National Cohesion

In attendance were Lucille Hewlett (Esq), Acting Commission Secretary, Dr. Henrietta Asante-Sarpong (Ph.D.), the Director of Research, Gender and Equality (NCCE); Mrs. Joyce Afutu, Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs (NCCE) and Dr. Imurana Mohammed (Ph.D.), Director of Programmes (NCCE).
