NCCE Western Regional Office Pays Courtesy Call on Regional Minister

The Western Regional Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) paid a courtesy call on the Western Regional Minister, Joseph Nelson, at the Western Regional Coordinating Council in Sekondi.

The delegation was led by the Western Regional Director of the NCCE, Mr. Andrews Ofori Larbi, and included the Deputy Regional Director, Mr. Ian Kwame Tugbenu; Principal Civic Education Officer, Miss Catherine Mensah Asare; and Senior Civic Education Officer, Mrs. Gloria Addisu Hashford. The visit formed part of the Commission’s efforts to strengthen relationships and enhance collaboration with key stakeholders in the region.

During the meeting, Mr. Larbi congratulated the Regional Minister on his appointment and expressed the Commission’s readiness to support and collaborate with the Regional Coordinating Council in promoting civic education and responsible citizenship across the region. He further assured the Minister of the commitment of both the regional and district offices of the NCCE to advancing the Commission’s mandate.

In his response, Hon. Joseph Nelson warmly welcomed Mr. Larbi to the Western Region and expressed confidence that he would have a successful tenure in the region. The Minister also commended the staff of the NCCE for their dedication and contributions to civic education.

He encouraged the Commission to continue intensifying public education on the rights and responsibilities of citizens and urged staff to work towards making the NCCE a household name throughout the Western Region.

The visit reaffirmed the strong partnership between the NCCE and the Western Regional Coordinating Council in promoting democratic values, civic responsibility, and national development.
