NCCE New Juaben Features in World Breastfeeding Week Durber at the Oyoko Health Centre

The New Juaben North Office of NCCE has engaged nursing mothers and nurses at the 2024 World Breastfeeding Week Durbar at the Oyoko Health Center.

Also present were Queenmothers from the Oyoko Traditional Authority, senior nurses and midwives, some heads of Institutions, Assembly and Unit Committee Members, and Community members.

The theme for the celebration was, "Closing the gap: Breastfeeding support for all".

The Municipal Director, Mr Ebenezer Acheampong, in addressing the audience, spoke extensively on the rights of women, with an emphasis on maternity leave and other entitlements of nursing mothers. He hinged his submission on the 2003 Labour Act, Act 651, specifically sections 55, 56, and 57, as well as the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.

He also advised the nurses and nursing mothers present to be responsible and productive employees for the development and growth of their various organisations.
