The NCCE team spoke to them about their civic duty and the need to vote on December 7, 2024.
Issues of religious and political tolerance were also discussed.
The first-time voters were asked to cross-check information before sharing. They were also educated on the consequences of vote buying and electoral violence.
The engagement occurred at the district office of the Electoral Commission’s registration centre. Civic Education officers present were Mr Dzakpasu Frank (DD), Mujeeb Musah, and Baba Safianu.
The team later visited Channel 2 Information Centre located at Prang to rally citizens get involved in the upcoming elections especially first-time voters and citizens who have just turned 18 years old.
