NCCE GREATER ACCRA REGIONAL DIRECTORATE GETS NEW OFFICE

A new office has been acquired for the Greater Accra Regional Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE. The NCCE’s regional office in Accra is now located within the premises of the State Housing Company, opposite Awudome, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Accra.

At an official dedication and opening ceremony, the outgoing Chairperson of the NCCE, Ms. Josephine Nkrumah was full of praise for the Greater Accra Regional Director of NCCE, Mrs. Lucille Hewllet-Annan for being persistent in the acquisition of a new office. She also commended Directors at the Head Office for working relentlessly to renovate the new office space for a better working environment. Ms. Nkrumah believes operating from the new office will help promote enhance civic education delivery in the region. She urged Greater Accra staff to cooperate with the Regional Director in working together for the good of the Commission.

The Deputy Chairman, Operations, NCCE, Mr. Samuel Asare Akuamoah reiterated the benefits of improving productivity in the Commission and in the nation at large. He charged staff of the region to work tirelessly to stir-up civic consciousness among citizens in the city.

Also at the ceremony was Deputy Chairperson in charge of Finance and Administration, NCCE, Ms. Kathy Addy. Ms. Addy advised the regional office staff to adopt a maintenance culture in other to keep the place in good working condition. She urged them to report timely on faulty assets that need to be fixed or replaced.

The Managing Director of State Housing Company, Kwabena Appiah Ampofo welcomed the NCCE to the premises of the Company and expressed the hope that both institutions will work together to promote national growth and development. He mentioned a possible collaboration between the NCCE and SHC to better serve the citizens of Ghana.

The Greater Accra Regional Director, Mrs. Lucille Hewllet-Annan expressed appreciation to management for providing the needed support to acquire a new office accommodation for staff. Present at the ceremony were Directors from the Head Office, Deputy Directors, District Directors in the region and staff of the Greater Regional Office.

Ms. Josephine Nkrumah (Chairperson, NCCE) urging all staff of the region to cooperate with the Regional Director in working together for the good of the Commission.

Ms Kathy Addy (Deputy Chairperson, Finance & Administration, NCCE) advised that all staff adopt a maintenance culture in other to keep the place in good working condition.
