The Central Gonja office of National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), supported by the Central Gonja District Security Committee embarked on an awareness raising campaign on the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19 in the district.
Working together with the Central Gonja District Health Directorate and the Information Services Department (ISD), the NCCE utilised all available platforms including a pick-up with PA systems and community-based information centers (CICs) to educate citizens on what the coronavirus is, the symptoms of the virus, and preventive measures to help contain the spread of the disease amongst others.
Communities visited included Kusawgu, Sankpala, Yapei, Mpaha, Kpabusu, Gbirigi, Kpasera, Butei, Ajowepe, Mamkpang and Mpaha Junction.
