The Sekyere Central District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Mr. Gordon Yeboah Opoku and his team have led four Civic Education Clubs (CECs) to the Nsuta Police Station and the Ghana Ambulance Service (GAS) at Nsuta in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region. The CECs included the SDA Junior High School - Nsuta, DA Junior High School - Bonkrong, Oxford Brookes International School – Nsuta, and St. Peter's Junior High School - Nsuta. Through the acquaintance, Commander Doris Amewu, and the Chief Inspector, Peter Kwame Konlan, at GPS Sekyere Central District, briefed the pupils on their daily operations. They touched on how to be law-abiding citizens as it is their traditional role of maintaining law and order under Article 200 (3) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana and how cases are reported to the appropriate quarters within the police service. Additionally, they explained that the police are not only a ‘correction rod’ to wrongdoers in the country but a friend to all law-abiding citizens.
