NCCE Asutifi South and GIFTVINE Foundation Empower 1,902 JHS Pupils to Unlock Their Potential

The Asutifi South District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), in collaboration with the GIFTVINE Foundation, conducted an educational outreach program across 35 Junior High Schools in 11 communities in the Ahafo Region.

The initiative reached schools in Kwaku Nyumah, Manhyia, Sienchem, Sunkwa, Mehame, Kokofu, Ohiatua, Nkasiem, Atta-Ne-Atta, Acherensua and Hwidiem. The program aimed to inspire pupils to discover and develop their potential, understand their identity, and pursue a purposeful future.

During the engagements, facilitators explained that every individual possesses a unique identity, which encompasses one's values, talents, character, habits, beliefs, and personal qualities. Pupils were encouraged to appreciate their uniqueness and understand that their identity shapes the positive contributions they can make to society.

The resource persons also discussed the concept of destiny, describing it as an individual's God-given purpose and the positive impact they are called to make within their families, communities, the nation and the wider world. The sessions challenged pupils to remain focused on their aspirations and make choices that would help them achieve their life goals.

Recognizing the growing importance of technology in education and career development, the pupils were advised to make responsible use of digital platforms to research their desired professions. They were encouraged to learn about the educational requirements, responsibilities and values associated with careers of interest, including the significance of the uniforms worn by professionals in various fields.

The outreach program reached a total of 1,902 pupils, comprising 990 girls and 912 boys, equipping them with knowledge and motivation to make informed decisions about their future and maximize their potential.
