The Sissala East Municipal office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), in partnership with the Tumu Great Fingers Volleyball team, hosted their annual volleyball gala competition, drawing male and female teams from Tumu and Wa to compete. Male teams included Tumu Great Fingers Volleyball Club, Wa Supreme Fingers, Suke Springers, Sorbelle Young Hoppers, and Peace Keep Fit Club, while the female competition featured Great Fingers Ladies and Supreme Fingers Ladies from Wa.
Mr. Ansignaa Bernard, NCCE's Civic Education Officer, addressed the teams before the matches, encouraging them to embody the same sportsmanship, tolerance, and unity on the court in the upcoming elections. He reminded the athletes that, like volleyball, politics is a contest of ideas and policies, and as such, peaceful coexistence and respect are essential for Ghana's democratic success.
