The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Parliamentary Network Africa (PNAfrica) to enhance collaboration in promoting civic engagement and open governance. The agreement was signed on behalf of NCCE by Deputy Chairman, General Services, Mr. Victor Brobbey, who chaired the meeting, alongside Deputy Chairman, Operations, Mr. Samuel Asare Akuamoah. PNAfrica was represented by its Executive Officer, Mr. Sammy Obeng, and Public Affairs Officer, Ms. Joana Oppong.
During the meeting, Mr. Obeng introduced PNAfrica as a civil society organisation focused on parliamentary monitoring and promoting open parliament across Africa. He noted that the organisation began as an advocacy newspaper, Parliamentary News, aimed at bridging the gap between legislators and citizens. Mr. Brobbey welcomed the partnership and expressed the Commission’s readiness to collaborate, after which the MoU was formally signed.
