Once again Mr. Victor Brobbey, a Commission Member of NCCE joined the Constitution Week team to speak to Officers at the Ghana Immigration Service in Accra as part of our 2022 Constitution Week outreaches. The engagement with GIS was progressive and witnessed very impressive attendance. The overall boss of the Ghana Immigration Service, the Comptroller General and his Deputies plus Senior and Junior Officers were all present.
Lawyer Victor Brobbey, the team leader from NCCE highlighted Ghana's political history to the Officers. He also run them through the principles and objectives of the 1992 Constitution.
We recorded insightful contributions from the GIS officers who pointed out some Articles in the 1992 Constitution that according to them need urgent reforms.
The Controller General of the Ghana Immigration Service, Lawyer Kwame Ansuah Takyi, who is known for his active participation in NCCE 's Annual Constitution Week Celebration made thought-provoking contributions and mentioned that Ghanaians have in the last 30 years enjoyed uninterrupted democratic rule after several military interventions. He said it is important that we uphold the values of the 1992 Constitution as the fundamental law of the land.
Also present at the engagement were Directors, Deputies Directors and Staff of the Commission.
