The Yendi Directorate of the NCCE, as part of the Commission’s activities towards the electioneering season, has organized their Parliamentary Candidates’ Dialogue.
The dialogue aimed at providing a communication bridge for parliamentary candidates to reach their constituents and convey their policies of development.
Chairing the occasion was Chief Bindana A.A. Ziblim, who represented the Overlord of Dagbon, Ndan Yan-Naa Abukari II. In his remarks, he reiterated the essence of the dialogue, rallying the audience to pay keen attention to what proceeds from the parliamentary candidates to guide them in their decision regarding who to elect as their Member of Parliament (MP).
The Municipal Director of the Yendi Office of the Commission, Mr. Osman Kassim, in his address called on the candidates and their sympathizers to conduct their campaign activities devoid of derogation and character assassination, urging them to reject candidates who conduct themselves in a manner that is inappropriate.
The MP hopefuls efficiently utilized their slots to communicate their developmental plans and interventions to the constituents, while affirming to contribute their bid towards ensuring peace within the constituency and the country at large.
The Yendi Municipal edition of the Parliamentary Candidates’ Dialogue took place at the Assembly Hall of Almaktoum Senior High School in Yendi.
