Ghanaians have been encouraged to participate in the ongoing Voter Registration exercise, starting today 30th June through to 6th August 2020.
The Ashanti Regional Director of NCCE, Mr. Wilson Raphael Arthur, who was speaking on Kingdom 100.1 FM in Kumasi, stressed on the importance of the registration exercise.
He said it is the civic responsibility of eligible voters to registere in order to vote in national elections.
Mr. Arthur highlighted the duration of the registration exercise, the requirements for a registrant, and stressed on the need for everyone to observe COVID-19 safety protocols.
He urged residents to remain calm during the exercise, since there were security measures put in place for the safety of citizens at every registration centre, including those in the Ashanti Region.
