THE SEEDS OF INDISCIPLINE, MORAL AND SOCIAL DECADENCE, DIVISION COULD ERODE GHANA’S PEACE AND STABILITY.

A team from the Ayensuano District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) led by the District Director; Nana Kwesi Boateng has visited the Agriculture Department of the University of Ghana as part of an effort to instill civic values in the youth, especially the university students.

During the visit, Nana Kwesi Boateng said there was a need to sensitise the youth, who the future of the nation depends on, to issues of national interest as well as nurturing civic values in them. He spoke to them on the values of humility, honesty, integrity, and the need to be ethical citizens.

He enlightened the students to respect the rights of others irrespective of their differences and encouraged them to be law-abiding citizens. Mr. Boateng added that the seeds of indiscipline, moral and social decadence, and division caused by intolerance could erode our national cohesion, peace, and stability. He therefore urged the students to learn hard, be focused the students to learn hard and be focused and promote the good name of Ghana.
