NCCE's Civic Education Club at Pope John Senior High School Meets Parliamentary Candidates

The Pope John Senior High School Civic Education Club members have engaged with Parliamentary Candidates for both NPP and NDC after the Swearing-In and inauguration of Newly Elected Assembly and Unit Committee Members.

The NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Nana Osei-Adjei admonished members of the Civic Education club to stick to their books and study hard. He encouraged them to be interested in National Issues and learn more about our democracy. As an old student of the school, he also listed some Members of Parliament who completed Pope John Senior High School and inspired them to be responsible citizens.

The NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Mr. Samuel Adongo also took his turn to interact with the students. He educated the students on the Duties of the Assembly and Unit Committee Members. He also further explained the meaning and the purpose of the Inauguration and swearing-in of the Members of the Assembly. He stated that he used to be a member of the NCCE Civic Education Club, where they used to play the Constitution games. He stated the importance of being a member of the Club and encouraged them to be committed to the club and its activities.

He concluded by advising the students to live in harmony irrespective of their political party, that politics is not about insulting or fighting each other but rather expressing their views and opinions devoid of violence.
