NCCE, WATCH YOUR TONGUE GHANA EDUCATES ASSEMBLIES OF GOD AT ASYLUM DOWN ON CHILD PROTECTION

The Accra Metro office of the NCCE organised a program on child protection at the Assemblies of God at asylum down. Corporal Daniel Kwasi Ofori Appiah, a policeman and founder of ‘watch your tongue campaign’ was the resource person.

Officer KOA defined a child as a person who is below the age of 18years and “cannot handle independent life daily”. Children are very vulnerable in our society therefore the need for parents to be responsible towards them.

Parents should be close to their kids and know who their friends are. The environment in which the children find themselves could affect the child thus exposing them to danger. Imagine you leaving in a community where most of the area guys are drug addicts and portraying extravagant behavior etc.

He said the church, police service, social welfare, Ministry of gender and social protection, the NCCE, UNICEF, and other NGOs play a major role in the protection of a child so the congregant should observe as such.
