The Bekwai Municipal Directorate of the NCCE visited the Roman Catholic Girls Junior High School at Bekwai to interact with the students to 'Inspire Inclusion'.
The Municipal Director, Bernard Mintah gave a background to the discrimination and abuse that women and girls have faced in the past and the struggle by women for justice and equality. The girls were enlightened on women's achievements and contributions to the progress of society. The young girls were therefore admonished to recognize and live up to expectations to justify the gains women have realised by studying hard and aiming for excellence. They were encouraged to recognize the fact that they are important, have a role to play in society's development, and can achieve whatever their male counterparts can achieve.
