The Tano North Municipal Directorate of National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) organised Clyde Academy-Koforidua pupils in Tano North Municipal on an educational excursion at Jewel 102.7FM.

The Programme Officer, Mr Datsomor Francis Mensah, led the excursion, accompanied by Kennedy Appiah and Douglas Sarfo (NSP).

The general Manager (Rev. Joseph Owusu Marfo) welcomed the students into his premises with Joy.

The program took place on Friday 24th May, 2024 from 10:30am – 1:00pm.

The General Manager, Rev. Joseph Owusu Marfo took them through the various departments; the reception, the manager’s office and the programme centre, where guests usually prepare themselves before going on air or the production room.

He gave a brief education on how radio programmes are being run and some functions of the equipment. He again said radio is there to serve three basic purposes namely; to educate, entertain and inform the public.

Some students were given the chance to go live in order to familiarise themselves with the equipment.
