The NCCE has received a delegation from the Traditional Council of the Diaspora Organisation in Ghana. The delegation was led by the Ayensuano District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Dr. Nana Kwesi Boateng. The visit by the delegation sought to discuss collaborative efforts to sensitize the citizens of the Ayensuano District and bring stakeholders together to assist in some developmental projects.
The Acting Commission Secretary of the NCCE, Mrs. Lucille Hewllett took the delegation through the structure, flagship programmes, and operations of the Commission. She mentioned other collaborative work undertaken at the grassroots through target groups like identifiable groups, faith-based organisations, artisans, market women, students, and the out-of-school youth.
According to the Nkosuohema, Nana Yaa Asantewa, the Diasporan Traditional Council has collaborated with the Obaa Yaa Foundation to undertake many developmental projects in the rural areas on education, agriculture, housing, creation of job opportunities and building toilet facilities. This, she said their outfit could leverage on the working relationship the NCCE has with the indigens.
Among other organisations the Council works with/ partners with the Indigenous Natives of the American Association in Ashanti Region, Jmasi; Members of the United House of Ancestory, Ghana; Eagle House Holdings, USA; Shareworld Travel and Tour Ghana; Special Envoys to African Diasporan Collective, Middle East; United Nations of Israel Ambassadors, Ghana and the Council of World Bishops.
