NCCE Kwaebibirem Engages Aboboyaa Riders on Responsible Digital Behaviour During Constitution Week

The Kwaebibirem Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education has engaged members of the Aboboyaa Association at Kade on responsible digital behaviour and constitutional responsibilities as part of the 2026 Constitution Week Celebration.

The civic education engagement, led by Assistant Civic Education Officer Mr. Opare Edward and Chief Field Officer Mr. Annobel Godfred, was held on 19th May 2026 at the Aboboyaa Station in Kade. The programme brought together fourteen riders who were sensitised on the theme, “Upholding Our Constitution in the Digital Age: Our Collective Responsibility.”

Addressing the participants, Mr. Opare Edward, explained that Constitution Week was instituted to promote awareness and appreciation of Ghana’s constitutional democracy and the rights and freedoms guaranteed under the 1992 Constitution.

He highlighted the benefits of social media and digital platforms, including access to information, communication, business promotion, and education, but cautioned against their misuse through misinformation, fraud, impersonation, cyberbullying, and the spread of false information.

Mr. Opare urged the riders to verify information before sharing online and encouraged them to be law-abiding citizens and ambassadors of peace in their communities.

The engagement ended with an interactive session where participants shared their views on responsible social media use and civic responsibility in the digital age.
