The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service (GHS), has organized an educational program on adolescent reproductive health for members of the Reform Artisans Association in Assin Foso.
The program brought together artisans and apprentices and aimed at equipping them with accurate information to help them make informed decisions about their health and future.
Speaking during the session, Madam Isabella Koantwi of the Assin Foso Polyclinic educated participants on family planning, body changes during adolescence, and the need to resist sexual coercion while knowing their rights under the law.
She advised the young artisans to seek proper guidance on reproductive health issues and avoid behavior that could negatively affect their future.
Mr. Micheal Sagoe, Senior Civic Education Officer of the NCCE, stressed the importance of educating young people on responsible behavior and decision-making.
According to him, when young people have the right information, they are more likely to stay focused on their education and apprenticeship and avoid choices that could prevent them from achieving their dreams.
Participants expressed appreciation to the NCCE and GHS for the program and appealed for more educational activities for the youth.
