The National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE has commemorated this year's Constitution Week Celebration with a lecture and a panel discussion on the theme 'Three decades of Uninterrupted Constitutional Rule; Revisiting an Agenda for Reforms '. This year’s celebration is unprecedented because it marks 30 years of Ghana’s Constitutional democracy. The event was very successful. Speakers at the event made thought-provoking submissions on the theme for the celebration.
The Main speaker was Justice Gabriel Pwamang, Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana. Dr. Alidu Siedu and Mrs. Clara Beeri Kasser-Tee of the University of Ghana, Legon and Professor Henry Kwesi Prempeh of CDD, Ghana were the discussants.
Present at the event were Acting Chairperson of NCCE, Kathleen Addy, Deputy Chairman, Operations, Mr. Samuel Asare Akuamoah and Commission Members. The Commission also welcomed dignitaries from the Legislature, Malawi's Ministry of National Unity and Civic Education, Security Services, Religious and Traditional Leaders, CSO, MMDAs, Students and the Media among others.
