NCCE Civic Education Club Members Attend Inauguration of Newly Elected Assembly Members in Akyemansa District

The Akyemansa Office of the NCCE has selected some club members from 6 Junior High Schools in the district capital, Akim-Ofoase, to witness the inaugural ceremony of the newly elected Assembly Members at the forecourt of the District Assembly between the hours.

The club members were drawn from the following schools; St. Johns Model JHS, DA JHS, Roman Catholic JHS, Ahlul Bait Islamic JHS, Qurania Islamic JHS, and SDA Preparatory JHS.

At the ceremony, a welcome note was delivered by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Paul Asamoah. Again, Mr. Jermaine Nkrumah the Board Chairman of, the National Road Safety Authority, delivered a speech on behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana. He congratulated the Assembly Members for their victory in the ended elections and encouraged them to conceive innovative ideas to better the lives of the people they represent.

Afterwards, the Assembly Members in the full glare of the gathering were sworn into office by the District Magistrate, who represented the Chief Justice in that capacity. A Presiding Member, among the Assembly members, was elected through a Yes or No vote, uncontested. Then, the Presiding Member delivered his solidarity message and welcomed the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Seth Anim the opportunity to appoint heads/ chairpersons of the committees of the Assembly.
