NCCE, CEC MEMBERS HOLD STREET PROCESSION ON 30 YEARS OF CONSTITUTIONAL DEMOCRACY

The Atiwa West District of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), as part of its Constitution Week activities, has held a street procession on the principal streets of Kwabeng with Civic Education Club members (CECs) and members of the community. The procession was designed to create awareness on Ghana's 30 years of constitutional democracy.

Mr. George A. K. Amey, a Principal Civic Education Officer, led the club members to embark on the procession. He commended participants for showing a great sense of patriotism in their respective fields and advised that they continue to live in harmony with each other and respect each other's views regardless of their differences. “It is this attitude that helps build strong and just societies”, he remarked.

The district office was supported with twenty (20) bags of sachet water from Sweet Water Mineral Company. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sweet Water Company, Mrs Janet Agyepong thanked the organizers for the event and described it as a great initiative. She also expressed her willingness to support future activities.

Other staff present were Ms. Esther S. Appiah, an Assistant Civic Education Officer and Mr. Mustapha Ankrah, an Assistant Civic Education Officer.
