The Assin Foso Municipal Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has organized a civic education program on drug abuse for pupils of Eupripill Preparatory School at Assin Foso Pumpsite.
The program aimed at educating the pupils on the dangers and negative effects of drug abuse and its impacts on their education, health, and future. Mr. Appiah, the resource person for the day, explained to the pupils the types of drugs that are commonly abused, including marijuana, tramadol, alcohol, and cigarettes.
He explained that drugs can lead them to drop out of school, mental health problems such as loss of memory, and involvement in criminal activities. He advised them to stay away from drugs and concentrate on their studies to become responsible citizens in the future.
