NCCE and other stakeholders engaged citizens of Fanteakwa South in a clean-up exercise

As part of the COVID-19 protocols in keeping a healthy life style, the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region has organized a cleanup exercise at Osino. This activity was a collaborative effort between NCCE, the District Assembly, National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Osino Market Women and the Ghana Private Road Transport Union of Osino (GPRTU).

Prior to the exercise, the community members were sensitized via Community Information Centres on COVID-19 safety protocols as well as environmental protection issues affecting the Osino community in the Fanteakwa South District.

The District Chief Executive for Fanteakwa, Ernest Ofosu and the Officer in Charge at the NCCE Office, Kwadwo Adu-Asare both entreated the community members to adhere to the COVID-19 safety protocols to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the district. Mr. Kwadwo Adu-Asare went on to advise the participants to use proper ways of managing and disposing their waste and also entreated them to protect and safeguard the environment.
