NCCE AND NATIONAL PEACE COUNCIL COLLABORATE TO MAINTAIN PEACE IN KUMASI

About four months ago, rioting between the youths of Ahwiaa Zongo and the Asante section of Ahwiaa in the Kumasi disturbances left one person dead and other persons injured. As part of efforts to ensure lasting peace in the area, the Ashanti Regional National Peace Council and NCCE collaborated with the Chief and elders, Sarikyi Zongo and religious organisations have embarked on a five-hour street announcement on the need for peaceful coexistence.
