Global Volunteer Corps pays a Courtesy Call to NCCE

The Global Volunteer Corps, a non-governmental organization committed to empowering individuals and communities through volunteerism and active citizenship, has paid a courtesy call to the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) at the headquarters of the Commission.

The purpose of the visit was to officially introduce the organisation, its goals, and objectives, and extend a hand of partnership to the Commission. The focal areas of the Global Volunteer Corps include Sustainable Development Initiatives, Education and Youth Empowerment, Healthcare and Wellbeing, and Cultural Exchange and Global Understanding.

Furthermore, the organization expressed their gratitude to the Acting Commission Secretary and Rights to Information (RTI) Officer, Mrs. Lucille Hewlett Annan, for her participation as a panel member during the launch of the organisation's establishment.

In attendance was the Chairperson of the Commission, Ms. Kathleen Addy; Deputy Chairman of Finance and Administration, Mr. Victor Brobbey; the Acting Commission Secretary, Lucille Hewlett Annan; Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs, Mrs. Joyce Afutu, Director of Programmes, Dr. Imurana Mohammed and Director of Research, Dr. Henrietta Asante-Sarpong. Representatives from the Global Volunteer Corps were the President, Mr. Stephen Kweku Darku; the Deputy Volunteer Coordinator, Evelyn Amankwa and the Country Director, Grace Ackah.
