In a thrilling display of civic knowledge, students from four (4) junior high schools in the Fanteakwa South District gathered at the Church of Pentecost Central Assembly in Osino to compete in the 68th Independence Day Quiz organised by the NCCE. The competition featured students from Roman Catholic JHS, Reminant JHS, D/A JHS, and Kwampaw Preparatory JHS, who demonstrated their knowledge of Ghana’s history, governance, and culture.
Madam Patricia Benuyenah, the District Education Human Resource Director, commended the NCCE for organising the educational event, highlighting its role in fostering civic awareness among the youth. After four intense rounds, D/A JHS emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional civic knowledge and teamwork. The District Director, Mr. Kwadwo Adu-Asare, congratulated the winners and encouraged all participants to follow the social media channels of the NCCE to stay updated on the latest civic education activities.
Beyond celebrating Ghana’s 68th Independence Day, the quiz underscored the importance of civic education in shaping responsible citizens. As Ghana continues to progress, initiatives like these remain crucial in empowering the next generation.
