Tolon District Kicks Off Constitution Day with Unity and Civic Awareness

The Tolon District of the NCCE in the Northern region initiated Constitution Day celebrations with targeted sensitization sessions. Identifiable groups were engaged as officers emphasized the paramount importance of unity for the District's development and the nation as a whole.

During the sessions, citizens were urged to champion the principles of participatory democracy, emphasizing that elected officials are public servants, not rulers. The focus was on empowering citizens to understand that decisions made by representatives should align with the people's interests and adhere to fundamental laws.

Furthermore, the team underscored the need for citizens to reject any politicians promoting violence and resist attempts at vote-buying, fostering a commitment to fair and democratic electoral processes. The event, aptly named "Ayaaluna," aimed to instill civic responsibility and a collective dedication to the democratic principles that underpin the nation's progress.
