RE-ENGAGEMENT WITH WOMEN GROUPS ON STRENGTHENING THE RULE OF LAW AND THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION.

The Mamprugu Moagduri NCCE District Office held a follow-up civic engagement with some women's groups at the Church of Pentecost in Yagaba on strengthening the rule of law and the fight against corruption; it's a GIZ implementation program co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs(SECO).

Participants were assessed on the experience they gained after the first meeting on the same topic. Mr Salifu Ibrahim, the NCCE District Director, encouraged the women to take an active interest in matters affecting their communities. He also urged them to attend meetings and ask public officers questions concerning the development of their communities and the district as a whole.

‎The participants were sensitized to avoid hiding corrupt practices from public officers and their relatives and also to continue to report every corrupt officer to the law enforcement agencies, such as the Ghana police service, the CHRAG, BNI, and other anti-corruption agencies in our district.
