​PRESIDENT OF THE GRADUATE STUDENTS ASSOCIATION OF GHANA (GRASAG) CALLS ON MANAGEMENT OF THE NCCE

The NCCE had an interactive and insightful discussion with the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) when the President of the Association, Mr. Emmanuel Owusu called on the management of the Commission in Accra. The visit by GRASAG sought to introduce the Association to the Commission and also to create a collaborative relationship with the Commission.

The GRASSAG President, Mr. Owusu, a former member of the NCCE Civic Education Club described the CECs as an inspiration to leadership positions. He gave the assurance that GRASAG would support the NCCE to reach out to the youth through its youth engagements on various campuses nationwide and connect with the NCCE during its programmes and activities.

Mr. Owusu expressed gratitude to the Commission for its warm reception and its willingness to collaborate with GRASSAG to enhance, promote, and sustain Ghana's democracy and support Civic Education activities that seek to inculcate in the citizenry, the awareness of their rights and obligations.

Management of the NCCE warmly received the team from GRASAG and tabled some proposals to revive civic awareness among the youth, especially tertiary students.

NCCE’s Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, Mr. Samuel Asare Akuamoah, welcomed GRASAG’s objective of engaging in policy conversation and nation-building efforts. He said the NCCE will partner with the Association to rally the youth to actively participate in the country's democratic development.

Also present at the meeting were the NCCE’s Deputy Chairman in charge of Finance and Administration, Mr. Lawyer Brobbey as well as the Commission Secretary and Directors of the NCCE.
