​NCCE TAIN DISTRICT ENCOURAGES CITIZENS TO PROMOTE SDG 6​

Mr. Maxwell Baah and Ms Emilda Bunkpirima, Assistant Civic Education Officers of the Tain District of the National Commission for Civic Education in the Bono region have engaged pupils of Nkona-Kwaargya D/A JHS on good sanitation practices. Emphasizing Article 41(g&k) and Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG), Ms. Emilda Bunkpirima urged the pupils to contribute their quota to ensure the environment is kept clean and safe for habitation. She said article 41k encourages every citizen to protect and safeguard the environment hence urging them to stop open defecation, indiscriminate waste disposal, and bush-burning, among others.

Mr. Maxwell Baah said for Ghana to achieve SDG goal 6 which aims at ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all and among others achieve access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all, the citizenry has to play their constitutional role of safeguarding the environment.
