NCCE Tain District Directorate re-activates its Civic Education Club at the Nsawkaw State Senior High School

The Tain District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education has re-activated its Civic Education Club at the Nsawkaw State Senior High School. The club became inactive some three years ago after the tragic demise of the club’s patron.

The students were sensitized on peaceful coexistence and the importance of civic education clubs in schools. New executives were elected to steer the affairs of the club. Ophelia Kwapong and Ahumbila Musah were elected president and vice president respectively. Other elected executives are Ibrahim Haruna – Secretary, Basoroba Rosina – Assistant Secretary, Banda Blessing – Organizer, Abdallah Ibrahim – Assistant Organizer, Yaw Clement – Financial Secretary and Dapaah Jennifer – Assistant Financial Secretary with Mr. George Mantuu as patron.

Mr. Osman Seidu, District Director, and Emilda Bunkpirima, Assistant Civic Education Officer were the resource persons.
