The Dormaa Central Municipal Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in the Bono Region has engaged members of the Civic Education Club at Pael Preparatory JHS, Dormaa Ahenkro, on the theme “Rule of Law and the Fight Against Corruption.”
The educational program, held on April 11, 2026, at the school premises, aimed to raise awareness of the supremacy of the 1992 Constitution and instill in pupils the values of integrity, accountability, and responsible citizenship.
The session was led by Samuel Azerigo, with support from Sandra Obour Sarfowaa. Addressing the pupils, Mr. Azerigo explained the concepts of the rule of law and corruption, emphasizing the negative impact of corruption on national development and democratic governance.
He encouraged the pupils to uphold honesty, responsibility, and respect for the law, while urging them to report acts that violate the principles of justice and fundamental human rights. He further entreated the pupils to always conduct themselves with transparency and accountability in all their actions as future leaders.
The program ended with the students singing the National Anthem and pledging to uphold the rules and regulations of both the school and the country, while committing themselves to combating corrupt practices.
