NCCE ORGANISED QUIZ COMPETITIONS FOR PUPILS OF DAWU PRESBY JHS

The Okere District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has organised an intra-quiz competition for the pupils of Dawu Presby Junior High School. This competition by the Commission sought to project the relevance of the 1992 constitution to the youth and instill in them a sense of civic duty for development.

The pupils were quizzed on Chapter 6 of the 1992 Constitution and their knowledge of the provisions of this Chapter so far. Questions were also asked based on environmental governance. The contestants were made up of 4 females and 2 males who were poised to fill us in on what they have been able to grasp from the Commission’s civic engagements with them.

The Okere District Director of the NCCE, Godfried Alexander Bonney said that this quiz competition was one of the Commission’s Strategies to execute its mandate. He also expressed excitement for the pupils’ remarkable performance during the competition. He added that out of the 40 questions asked the pupils answered 39 correctly.

Madam Anita Appiah, Mr. Michael Ewool, and GA Bonney from the District Office together with the Patron of Dawu Presby JHS; Madam Philomina Nakortey, and two other teachers were also present.
