The Fanteakwa South-Osino District Office of the NCCE took students of Kwampaw Preparatory School on an educational tour of the KIA Automobile Green Light Health Facility in Saamang. The initiative aimed to instill healthy living habits among young learners, particularly in response to the recent surge in cholera cases.
During the visit, Mr. Kwadwo Adu-Asare, the District Director, highlighted the role of NCCE's Civic Education Club in shaping responsible and civic-minded citizens. A Physician Assistant at the facility, Mr. William Yaw Oppong, educated the students on hygiene, balanced diets, and the importance of regular medical check-ups. Learners also toured key sections of the facility, including the theater, laboratory, and outpatient department (OPD).
The two-hour tour successfully reinforced the importance of good health practices as a cornerstone of responsible citizenship. Through such initiatives, the NCCE continues to equip young Ghanaians with essential knowledge and values for national development.
