HELP STOP THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC-NCCE

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has urged Ghanaians to help stop the spread COVID-19 in the country by staying at home, observing social distancing and other safety protocols.

Sensitizing communities in the Greater Accra and Awutu-Senya East, the team from NCCE Head Office made up of Rebecca Colecraft of Programmes, Aziz Laryea of Communications and Corporate Affairs and Iddrisu Abdu-Rahman of Administration departments admonished community members to stop spreading fake news on disease.

The communities visited included Korle Gonno, Chorkor, Chemu, Mamprobi, Kasoa, Kasoa-New Town Zongo, Kakraba, Kasoa- Bojoase Road, GCB New Market, Datus Market, Colambo Road and Kasoa-Old Market.

During the engagements with these communities, the Civic Educators observed that people were not adhering to social distancing as a measure to contain the disease in Ghana. The Commission therefore called on the security personnel to strengthen surveillance in these communities.
